For each model / design of head guard requiring testing & certification, the following samples will be required:
Largest Size of head guard available within the entire size range: 3 samples
Each additional size of head guard available within the size range: 1 sample
In addition, the following information will also need to be provided for each size available before we are able to begin testing, as some tests identified within the standards EN 13277 Parts 1 & 4 are dependant upon sizing templates which are based on the end users body dimensions. Please note that we are unable to begin testing until all sizing information has been provided:
For Each Size Available: The intended end users head circumference range in centimetres.
Innocuousness Testing – Sampling Requirements
For each material type (foam inserts, outer covers, linings, leathers) in each of the colours that you will be using in your finished products, we will need at least 4 x A4 size sheets
For each elastics / touch & close fasteners / webbing in each of the colours that you will be using in your finished products, we will need at least 2 metres
For each of the metallic components that you will be using in your finished products, we will need at least 6 samples.
All innocuousness samples must be clearly marked with their product reference code / name, and a list of all materials submitted needs to be included that details material
